Eligibility
You must be at least 22, able to enter into this agreement and legally free to participate in dating. You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping access to your email account secure.
Private membership
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Basics may accept, waitlist, decline, pause or end a membership based on capacity, compatibility, safety, community standards and whether we reasonably believe we can provide a suitable service.
Introductions
Basics offers considered introductions, not guaranteed outcomes. Each person may accept, ask a question or pass. Contact details are shared only after mutual interest. You remain responsible for your own decisions, communication, travel, meeting arrangements and personal safety.
Dashboard and reflection tools
The dashboard, quizzes, attachment reflection and insights are educational tools—not medical, psychological, legal or therapeutic advice. Scores and observations are prompts for reflection, not diagnoses or verdicts.
Communications
By creating or using a dating dashboard, you agree that Basics may contact you about your account, community news and relevant matchmaking opportunities. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time. Essential security and service communications may still be sent while your account remains active.
Fees and complimentary periods
Where Basics offers a complimentary period, the scope and start date will be confirmed with you. Any future paid service, price, currency, renewal, cancellation and included support must be agreed before you are charged. Basics does not currently take payment through this website.
Member responsibilities
You agree to follow the Community Rules, respect confidentiality and consent, avoid harmful or unlawful conduct, and tell Basics about significant information that may affect safety or an introduction. You may not scrape, copy, sell or misuse member information.
Safety
Basics may screen, review or remove people, but cannot guarantee another person’s identity, intentions, conduct or compatibility. Meet thoughtfully, protect personal and financial information and contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.
Ending use
You may pause matchmaking or delete your account. Basics may restrict or terminate access when necessary for safety, misuse, legal compliance or serious breaches of these terms or the Community Rules.
Liability and availability
Basics will take reasonable care in providing the service but does not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular number of introductions, mutual attraction or a relationship outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Changes and governing rules
Basics may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible. Applicable consumer and data-protection laws continue to apply regardless of this plain-language summary.
